- Social Studies: Latitude & Longitude Map Test tomorrow. Lines of latitude run parallel to the equator and lines of longitude run north to south. In a geographic addess (New Orleans, Louisiana 30ºN, 90ºW), latitude is listed first (30ºN), followed by longitude (90ºW).
